did not ride it across. Looks neat though

Loved this adventure. Oldest working ferry I was told by friend who family owned at one time. Very short ride, but worth it. And it's free. Very picturesque setting on the Kentucky River.

The best part is the drive through the Kentucky countryside. Absolute beauty.

Wonderful View and beautiful Dr but if you're in a hurry this is not the place to go. Three cars every 6 minutes. So if you're at the 1000-foot Mark you may be there an hour hour-and-a-half.

Fun experience with lots of history tied to it. The ferry was founded in 1780, predating Kentucky's admission to the Union in 1792. It is widely regarded as the commonwealth's oldest continually operating business. It was used by historical figures, such as, Daniel Boone, Henry Clay, and Ulysses S. Grant!

I think it's really neat had a park area. I love ferries and you will enjoy the side across the ky rivere
